Plaça Vella de Terrassa

Plaça Vella is the centre of Terrassa: the arcaded square where the old town opens out and where the town does whatever it does collectively, from rallies to concerts. During the festa major and the summer series a stage goes up and the square becomes an open-air auditorium for free concerts — dance orchestras, local pop and rock, habaneres, brass bands and DJ sets — with a standing crowd, full balconies and the surrounding bars open. There are no tickets and no controlled capacity: arrive early and you stay near the stage. It is a few minutes' walk from the central stations, so you can get there and back by public transport.
